The OpenMV M7 Camera is a small, low-power microcontroller board that allows you to easily implement applications using machine vision in the real world. The best part about the OpenMV is that it is not only capable of image capture, but also face detection, color tracking, QR code reading and plenty more.
The OpenMV can be programmed in high-level Python scripts. Python makes working with machine visions algorithms much easier. For example, the find_blobs() method in the code finds color blobs and returns a list of 8-valued objects representing each color blob found.
With the OpenMV Cam you can use machine vision to control I/O pins. The OpenMV Cam has a SPI bus, I2C bus, Async Serial bus (RX / TX), ADC, DAC, and more.
OpenMV now comes equipped with a handy protective acrylic case and 2 separate female headers.
