Product description
The OpenMV Cam is a small, low-power microcontroller board that allows you to easily implement applications using machine vision in the real world. The best part about the OpenMV is that it is not only capable of image capture, but also face detection, color tracking, QR code reading and plenty more.
The OpenMV Cam has the RT1062 ARM Cortex M7 processor running at 600 MHz with 32MB of SDRAM, 1MB of SRAM and 16 MB of flash. It comes with a OV5640 image sensor which is capable of taking 2592x1944 (5MP) images. Most simple algorithms will run about 40 FPS on QVGA (320x240) resolutions and below.
Your image sensor comes with a lens on a standard M12 lens mount. If you want to use more specialized lenses with your image sensor you can easily buy and attach them yourself. Additionally, the OpenMV Cam features removable camera modules which allow you to use the module with Global Shutter and FLIR Lepton sensors for advanced machine vision applications.
The OpenMV can be programmed in high-level Python scripts. Python makes working with machine visions algorithms much easier.
With the OpenMV Cam you can use machine vision to control I/O pins. The OpenMV Cam has a SPI bus, I2C bus, Async Serial bus (RX / TX), ADC and more.
