Arduino MKR WAN 1310 is a powerful board that combines the functionality of the MKR Zero and LoRa connectivity. It has been designed to offer a practical and cost effective solution for makers seeking to add LoRa connectivity to their projects. It is based on the Atmel SAMD21 and a Murata CMWX1ZZABZ LoRa module.

A good 32 bit computational power similar to the MKR ZERO board, the usual rich set of I/O interfaces, low power LoRa communication and the ease of use of the Arduino Software (IDE) make this board the preferred choice for the emerging IoT battery-powered projects in a compact form factor. The Arduino MKR WAN 1310 is able to run with or without the batteries and has low power consumption.

The MKR WAN 1310 has to be used with GSM or LoRa antenna that can be attached to the board with the micro UFL connector.

More information is available on the website of Arduino, including a LoRa send and receive example and how to connect to The Things Network.
