Product description
The RFID readers from ID-Innovations are popular because they are small, have built-in antenna and are easy to use for embedded applications.
This small (25x26mm) 125kHz reader with a built-in antenna has a 9600bps TTL/RS232 outputoutput with Magnetic, Wiegand or ASCII format. The ID-12 reads tags up to 6cm.
A USB adapter board is available. You can simply plug the reader into the headers, connect it to the PC and a terminal program will show the ID of the tag.
